Pearson Edexcel Cyprus Summer Forum
Our annual Pearson Edexcel Summer Forum this year will take place on Thursday 27th June at the Ajax Hotel in Limassol.
You may remember the last couple of years we have run a Problem Solvers workshop and a Behavioural Insights for Education Workshop, both based on our publications from the Open Ideas at Pearson
This year we are going to be talking about another key behaviour: Mindfulness to build resilience and calm in the classroom.
Students can find it hard to cope with the stress around exams and fulfilling expectations. Mindfulness can help them become more resilient in the face of adversity, absorb new content in preparation for exams, and ride the wave of adrenaline that naturally accompanies exam season.
Ashley Lodge, Wellbeing and Mindfulness Lead at Pearson, will deliver the workshop and give us an overview of how mindfulness works, the psychology and neuroscience underpinning it and a practice/meditation so that everyone gets to experience it and discuss how they found it.
