The purpose of this role is to undertake much of the administration of the school, so that the school can continue to provide excellent education in a Christ-centred community to the children of missionaries working in West Africa.

The administrator is responsible to the Directors of the school.
The administrator supports them and also the Principal and the Finance Manager in their work.

Responsibilities:
  • Payment of salaries to all our local staff
  • Supervising the local female staff, including preparing work schedules, handling complaints, etc
  • Communication with parents
  • Dealing with all general emails
  • Welcoming visitors
  • Development of school website
  • Applications for Senegalese identity papers for all expatriate staff
  • Initial processing of all student and ex-patriate staff applications Office supplies, and printers and photocopiers
  • Staff DVD/book library
  • Supply of phone credit cards and stamps to staff
  • Collecting post from the Post Office

Requirements:
  • Excellent level of English (C2 – Proficient user; according to Common reference levels: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_European_Fram ework_of_Reference_for_Languages)
  • Good level of French (B2 – Upper intermediate; see website above)
  • Administrative and computing skills
  • Willingness to serve in various areas of BCS life
  • Willingness to fully embrace communal living
  • Good communication and other inter-personal skills; emotional stability
  • Appropriate training/willingness to train for MK ministry
  • Being able to start (the latest) in May 2017
