Following significant re-organisation of the leadership of the BST Administrative Team, the school now seeks to appoint an experienced senior professional to lead the strategic financial planning and management of the organisation, ensuring it meets its business and financial targets in pursuit of key educational objectives.

As a member of the school’s strategic leadership group, the Bursar will work closely with the Principal and Heads of School across a broad range of areas, including compliance with Japanese legislation, and with the Chair and Board of Trustees on matters relating to long-term strategy. 

The detailed responsibilities set out below will be amended to suit the skills and experience of the successful candidate and, given the nature of the role, it is intended that there will be some flexibility in working hours. At this stage it is anticipated that the post will require an overall time commitment equivalent to 0.6 of a full-time role.

Compensation will be competitive within the profession, dependent on the successful candidate's experience and based on a pro-rata agreement.
